Kevin and Chamilla
10x10 inches. In my mom's backyard we have a pet cemetery with our cats and lizards that have since passed. This is the place where Kevin and Chamilla our two Chameleons lay (marked by the two rocks). For pictures of our lizards visit: http://mylizardfamily.blogspot.com/
When I paint my headphones send me into a zone of unreality where the only thing is that music, that scene, and what I'm painting. There is something sublime about landscape painting. I get goose bumps from mixing colors into different greens. The smell and the texture of oil paint fulfills the experience. I feel a rush of emotion from a passing breeze. Sometimes I stop the music to listen to the trees blow above me. The best part is when I get to the final layer of paint. The rhythm of my brush strokes matches the music in my ears. There is something climatic about finding each finishing touch.
